Could that be my problem? I resolved it by uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Virtual PC. I will try this later today. The Users group should also have Read and Execute permissions.
I had a 64 bit O/S and had to useVirtualbox. How long will it take? Vhd Resizer Windows references disks in the boot configuration database (BCD) by disk signature, so when that happens Windows booted in a VM will fail to locate the boot disk.
